Shipping is one of the most stressful experiences that the hobbyist (and the animals) goes through. We do everything possible on our end to minimize the stress and time spent in a bag traveling. We will only ship healthy coral. In the rare event a coral you ordered does not look good, we will call and discuss the situation with you rather than send out a questionable coral.
All coral will be bagged appropriately (double or triple bagged) with enough water and 100% oxygen (not air) to safely make the trip. Heat packs or cold packs are provided when needed. We ask that you communicate any extremes of temperatures to aid us in the shipping.
Unlike other retailers that ship Standard Overnight or even Two-Day, we feel that the less time an animal spends in a box traveling the less stress it will endure and therefore arrive to you in the absolute best condition possible! That’s why we ship only by FedEx Priority overnight. This will guarantee arrival by 10:30am in most cases. We also strongly encourage that you have the package shipped and “held for pick up” at your nearest FedEx facility to minimize transport in a very bumpy hot/cold truck. In most cases this means you can receive your package prior to 10:30am and lesson the time your corals are in bags. We at GCR do this as a regular practice on ALL our arrivals of livestock we purchase.
Currently, we ship Monday through Thursday. We can also ship Friday for Saturday delivery for an additional $12.50 (this is what FedEx charges us). Instead of having FedEx come to us, we drive the shipments to the FedEx hub, again to minimize stress on the live animals. FedEx tracking info will be emailed to you, the afternoon/evening of shipping.

Acclimation:
|
Acclimation instructions will be included in the shipping box. Although, fairly simple for coral, they are no less important. Fish and invertebrates should be drip acclimated per the protocol on the acclimation instruction sheet.

Guarantee:
|
There is a live arrival guarantee. In the extremely rare event of a DOA, we require a digital picture be sent of the dead animal, still in the original bag, within 3 hours of when you signed for the package. Either a refund or credit will be issued, your choice. Shipping expenses are not refunded. Any losses due to weather or FedEx delays beyond our control are not refundable.
